Art = Communication

If you haven't heard of this book do yourself a solid and get a copy. This book isn't what this entry is about but it is what introduced me to this artist. I seen his work and was familiar with it but not till about a week ago happened to come across Alphonse Mucha. I am not an art history expert which I can admit so when I come across work like this I feel compelled to share. He gained fame through his commercial art and did not want to be known specifically for this kind of style which was coined art nouveau . He declared that art existed only to communicate a spiritual message, and nothing more.

I've often thought about trying my hand at making 3 dimensional art. Sculpting I would think takes a different state of mind. One day for sure I'll take a crack at it.
