Stone Cold

For this collaboration we were wondering what the approach should be. We wanted to do our own take on Crooks' Medusa so naturally we decided to go towards music for inspiration. This piece was all done in ink on bristol board that is about 17x14". Then scanned and colored in Illustrator. I personally love things simple in black and white. It has way more of an impact in my eyes. Plus rule of thumb for me, if it can stand on its own in 1 color you cant go wrong. Although I personally would have loved to give it more of a grainy feel like the picture used for reference, I ain't mad at it though. I just tend to lean more toward an organic feel than super clean. The perfection of a piece lies within the imperfection.
