Old School Mondays




On this OSM we take a look at arguably the best singer/songwriter in the last 50 years. Amongst the likes of Joni Mitchell, Stevie Wonder & Bob Dylan stands the good brother Bill Withers. His genius is simply, his simplicity. With the right amount of instruments, and the perfect assortment of lyrics he's formed classic song, after classic song, after classic song. His abrupt departure from the music business at the peak of his career is one of the subjects focused on in the new biopic "Still Bill". And just in case you have never heard Bill, I've included some videos below. Peace.

YEAH, I KNOW. HE'S ONE OF THE BEST. I DEF ADMIRE HIS CHOICE OF SECLUSION. I WONDER WHAT MUSICIAN WOULD OPT FOR THAT TODAY.........

WATCHING HIS INTERVIEW, AND SEEING WHERE HE'S FROM I DEF GOT A BETTER UNDERSTANDING OF THE MAN.

LIKE HE WAS REALLY FROM THE BOTTOM.
AND BECAUSE OF THAT YOU FEEL HE'S SPEAKING ONE ON ONE WITH YOU AND THAT LEVEL OF GENIUS OF IS SELDOM FOUND. HE DEFINITELY FOUND THE GLOW.
