Close Call

I'm sure a lot of you have heard of Chuck Close. He gained recognition through his large scale portraits. I recently went to Strand's to "get some inspiration" and I happend upon his book. I know of his work but when I was able to see the story unfold in the book it allowed me to see a bit into his thought process . I can see how his work began to grow and evole through conceptual experimentation. To see what steps are taken to prepare the next piece of art is a lesson that any artist is willing to learn. Needless to say it has opened up my mind and thinking of ways to experiment and grow myself. I've been working on a few projects and I look forward to sharing them when the time is right. Hope this brings inspiration to you as it has done for me.
